Stacy Sjogren

As a trained facilitator and Policy Governance® expert, Stacy Sjogren (“Show-gren”) has the engaging style and technical skills necessary to draw boards through governance process transitions successfully. Years of experience in higher education and the public benefit sector, an academic background in communications, and client experiences in multiple disciplines result in a broad understanding of the concerns boards face in their particular industry and as they strive to work effectively as a team.

Stacy’s Consulting firm, Out of the Woods Consulting, was established in 2000. Focused primarily on public benefit organizations, Stacy often draws on her skills as a facilitator to help boards through interpersonal challenges or to address organizational strategic planning needs resulting from the transition to Policy Governance. Whether an organization is run by part time staff or a staff of 2,000, Stacy customizes trainings in order to meet the specific needs of the organization and in a manner that is consistent with its culture.

Stacy is a graduate of the Policy Governance® Academy and has presents frequently at the annual conference for the International Policy Governance Association. She is based in Minnesota, USA, but accepts clients nationally and internationally.
